Cannoli Dip

  • 1 pound whole milk ricotta
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla-
  • 2 T. mascarpone cheese-
  • 2 T. mini chocolate chips, plus more for sprinkling
  • 1 package ice cream waffle bowls broken into 3-4 pieces each
  • Strawberries, washed and dried

In a small bowl, mix the first five ingredients. Place in a serving bowl and sprinkle with more mini chocolate chips. Serve immediately with broken waffle bowl pieces and fresh Strawberries. Note: You may add other ingredients to your cannoli dip such a citron, pistachio pieces, cinnamon, or other traditional additions you enjoy in your regular cannoli pastries. If you do not want to use Waffle Bowls, which are like ice cream cones but in bowl shape, Trader Joe’s of New Town has a Belgian Butter Waffle Cookie that can be found in the cookie section stocked above the freezer section.
